It’s summertime and the livin’ is easy – grill safe, grill delicious, have a great summer!
Hey! It’s Dr. Jim. It’s summertime and the living is easy. Today I’m going to give you some grilling tips. Going to talk with you about BBQ. And I am going to fix you a cheeseburger!
First, make certain that your grill is a distance away from any building so that there’s no fire hazard. It’s also very important to make certain that you don’t have any leaks – that there are no leaks around your propane tank or gas burner if you’re lucky enough to have a gas grill.
And when it comes to cleaning your grill always use a bristle that’s made from nylon fabric as opposed to a metal scraper where pieces of wire can get in your food and ingested and lodged in your intestine. That’s not good, so we’re going to throw that one away and use a nylon brush.
When you like light your grill, close the lid and make sure everything’s good all around. Then ignite all burners – get your grill nice and hot. You can turn them down later depending on what you’re grilling.
It’s important to have the right equipment – long spatula for burgers, long tongs for ribs and steaks, a basting brush to spread sauce and gloves to protect your hands when basting or reaching over the meat.
So, it’s time to get grillin’. With today’s cheeseburgers we’ve got sirloin made for patties for those in the family who don’t like what I think are delicious jalapeno burgers. So, I gotta’ couple of jalapeno burgers and a few sirloin burgers. Ground chuck also makes a great cheeseburger.
Here we go with the sirloin – flip these little guys on a nice hot grill – it’s about 450 degrees. The jalapeno patties want to come apart, so I need two hands to take care of that and get these on there so that they’re all in one piece.
We’re good to go and we are cooking. We are cooking!
OK it’s time to check and see if these if these cheeseburgers are ready to be flipped. Boy it sure looks like they are. Always stand back a little.
Now it’s time to take them inside and get on the fixins’.
I like my cheeseburger with tomato, lettuce, and onion and sesame buns, ketchup, mayonnaise and spicey mustard – just makes for a most delicious cheeseburger in paradise.
There you go! I think it’s safe to say we’ve got it! And if this isn’t the best cheeseburger on planet earth, I don’t know what is. Yum!
