Dr. Jim describes 4 easy steps that ensure skin health and why it is so important to overall health and well-being.

Dr. Jim talking to you today about skin. It is certainly desirable to have beautiful, radiant skin but what you should really focus on is whether or not your skin is healthy.

Skin is the largest organ in the body. It protects us from germs and dirt and other substances that can enter the body and cause harm.

Today I’m going to give you 4 steps to the development and the maintenance of healthy skin.

Step 1

Take good care of yourself. Practicing healthy behaviors is important and it’s the right direction for healthy skin. First, make certain that you eat nutritious foods like those found in the Mediterranean diet. Exercise regularly. When you’re out in the sun, use a SPF-50 sunscreen and hats. And for goodness sakes, if you smoke stop smoking.
